Hi, I’m Zoe Keefer, also known as Miss ZK’s Designs. I’m a local artist from Cairns, currently residing in Mission Beach. My inspiration comes the great outdoors. Witnessingnature and wildlife in their raw uniqueness, inspires me to create my colourful illustrations.
I specialize in illustrating flora and fauna using Procreate. With this app I bring my work to life through detailed and thoughtful design. I put a lot of care and research into each piece, not just to capture the essence of the animals I illustrate, but also to reflect the native plants that share their habitat.
Growing up in Cairns, I was always surrounded by creativity. With my deep interest in native wildlife, it felt natural that I’d eventually find my way into this kind of work. It wasn’t until 2014 that I truly returned to my creative roots, but by 2018 I had officially started my freelance career. Since then, I’ve taken on commission work for small businesses, created personalized pet portraits, and designed yearly calendars.
Today, I continue to create illustrations that reflect my passion for the beauty and uniqueness of nature. My hope is to share that passion with others and help remind people just how special and important the natural world is, and how lucky we are to be part of it.
